Beales discount tips

A History of Beales

Beales started trading from a single store in Bournemouth in 1881. Its founder, John Elmes Beale envisioned a chain of department stores that sold everything you could need. This vision eventually came true. The Bournemouth store is said to be the first featuring a live Father Christmas. The store was bombed during World War II but this didn’t stop the family business from expanding through the 20th century and into the 21st century. Although it ran into huge difficulties at the beginning of 2020 and many stores were closed, the Poole store reopened the same year under a new company name; New Start 2020 Ltd.

The Beales Range

Beales offers their entire range online and it’s an impressive array of items. You can shop for electricals, gifts, beauty products, footwear, travel items, and even furniture. There is no paper-based version but the entire stock range is also visible in their Poole store. Alongside the standard range, you’ll find seasonal offers and an array of promotions. Beales continues the original ethos of supplying great products at reasonable prices. This means you’ll find an array of items locally and internationally produced but sales options are generally limited.

Beales Store

There is only one Beales store at present but plenty of room for expansion. The store is in Poole, fairly close to the original Bournemouth flagship store. It’s a modern feeling store with friendly staff on hand to help you. It’s easy to stroll through the various departments, admiring beauty products, furniture, and other items. You’re certain to find something that appeals. Of course, the store will also hold many surprises. That’s part of the beauty of shopping in a store, you’ll find delights that you wouldn’t have even thought to look at online. The store encourages you to look and try things, it’s the best way of convincing you to buy.
