Harvey Nichols discount tips

The Harvey Nichols Story

Harvey Nichols started trading in 1831 making it one of the oldest businesses on the high street. The business was founded by Benjamin Harvey who opened a linen shop. Over the next 8-10 years the business expanded into the adjacent properties. In 1841 the business took on James Nichols who married Benjamin’s daughter. After the death of Benjamin Harvey, his wife partnered with her daughter and James to continue trading as Harvey Nichols & Co. The company was bought by Debenhams in 1920 and continued to expand. IN 1985 it was taken over by the Burton Group and Dickson Concepts took it on in 1991. It continues to be a reputable high-street name.

What Harvey Nichols Offers

The business has come a long way from its initial premise as a linen shop. Today it offers an extensive range of items, including bags, shoes, beauty products, a complete range of men’s and women’s clothing, and even food and wine for the discerning customer. You’ll also find an array of home products available, including lighting rugs, towels, and bedding. They also offer an extensive array of gifts, helping to ensure you can find the perfect solution for any loved one. The range also includes some great jewellery and even sunglasses to ensure you’re staying up to date with the latest fashions.

Harvey Nichols Stores

There are nearly a dozen Harvey Nichol stores across the UK. The low number reflects the fact that each store is large and carries an impressive stock range. The majority of the stores are classified as large-format, although there are currently two small-format stores; in Bristol and Dublin. All stores are split into the various departments, allowing you to browse in comfort. It also ensures well-trained staff are on hand in each department to assist you, if you need it. Of course, that’s the beauty of going in-store. Everything is there to be seen and tried, allowing you to leave with your desired products the same day. It’s hard to do that online.

The Online Harvey Nichols Experience

The website is well laid out, simply hover over the categories across the top of the page and you’ll be able to see the array of products available in each range. This will help you find the right items and then compare them. There is also a useful search box at the top of the page. If you need inspiration simply scroll down the page, you’ll find an array of options and links to help you make the right decision. A nice touch is a small box on the left of the page which scrolls with you. It asks if you want to be in the know and gives you a link to sign up for the newsletter.

Customer Service

One-click on the contact us link will give you the customer service phone number, allowing you to contact their friendly but professional service. If you prefer you can email them or even write a letter. However, you may prefer to contact them via their Twitter account. It’s the fastest way to get a response.

Delivery Options

Once you’ve ordered something the most important question on your mind will be how long does it take to get to you? The good news is that Harvey Nichols offers standard delivery that will get your order to you within three working days. If you need it, for a little more, you can get a next-day-delivery service.

Promotions & Discounts

It’s always nice to save money and you’ll find Harvey Nichols often has promotions on that reduce the price of some of the items in their range. The reduced items are usually end-of-line products or items that aren’t selling as well as the company hoped. But, there are some great offers worth looking at! In addition, you can save a significant sum by using discount codes. You’re already in the right place, here at www.1offers.co.uk we have an array of codes that can save you money. All you have to do is look at the codes and choose the one that benefits you the most, then use it before you complete the payment process. You should note that codes can expire at short notice. That’s why we verify them daily and recommend you take the code the day you’re going to use it.

Social Connections

Harvey Nichols is active on all the major social media channels. But, they are particularly fond of Twitter. It’s worth connecting to them on Twitter as you’ll get access to all the latest news and promotions. You’ll also be able to connect with thousands of other customers and swap stories. This can be very helpful when deciding on the right product to purchase.
