Thorntons discount tips

The Thornton Craft

In 1911 Joseph William Thornton started a small sweet shop in Sheffield. It was a risk, instead of committing to it, he continued his day job and let his 14-year-old son run it. Norman was a naturally and quickly made it the best sweet shop in town, enlisting the help of his brother Stanley. Their fame grew but, once they started creating chocolate truffles and special toffee it was obvious they were onto something special. The business has gone from strength to strength. Today it's no longer owned by the family. Ferro bought the company in June 2015 and has continued to expand the range and operations.

Thorntons Chocolates

Thorntons is famous for the chocolates and toffees it produces. The key to their success is in embracing the flavours that work and continually looking for new recipes and inspiration. Whether you’re after classic milk chocolate with flavoured centres or the dark chocolate alternative, there’s a Thornton chocolate waiting for you. Of course, they also do boxes of special toffee and fabulous fudge, alongside a mint collection and even a selection of white chocolates.

Store-based Service

Thorntons offers its full range of products in-store. They have approximately 200 stores but also offer their products through franchisees and their website. Of course, visiting a store is still a great idea. It’s the best way to see the chocolates for yourself, admire them, and maybe even taste one. The sales staff in-store are excellent. They are waiting to help you decide from the extensive Thornton range. The staff are discreet and can help to ensure any gift is properly packed and presented.

That gets your order to you within 5-7 working days. You should note that you can also pick up your order at a specified location or get your delivery done on a specific date. Interestingly, it's not currently possible to pick up your order in-store.

Discounted products

This means there are almost always discounted products available to choose from.
