Velux discount tips

Velux History

In 1941 Villum Kann Rasmussen started a company specializing in glass roofs. The idea was that dark attic spaces could be transformed into bright areas that can be used as additional living space, or simply transform areas that were already being used for living in. The name Velux was a combination of ‘VE’ which was short for ventilation, and ‘lux’, the Latin word for light. It perfectly emphasized the intent of his product. Over the following twenty to thirty years the Velux window was fitted to properties across Europe and even in America. The company has continued to build on its success and, despite competition from many other manufacturers, continues to be a market leader.

The Velux Range

Velux creates stunning windows for your roof space. They are available in a huge array of sizes and finishes. The original Velux windows were wooden, today they are generally UPVC but other materials are available. One of the best features of all their windows is the ability to flip them, allowing you to easily clean both sides of the glass. Of course, the modern windows are also double or triple glazed to help reduce energy consumption. Alongside their windows, Velux produces an array of blinds that attach to the Velux window and can even block out all light. That allows you to create the perfect sleeping environment. You may also be interested to note they provide sun tunnels, allowing you to light up spaces that don’t have their own roof. A more recent addition to their range is the smart feature, allowing you to open and close your Velux windows with the touch of a button or control them and their blinds remotely.

Shopping For Velux Windows

Velux doesn’t have its own stores. However, you can check out the various Velux products in any window store or even DIY stores like B&Q. This is the easiest way to see the quality of the windows and get friendly advice regarding which type of Velux would be best for the job you intend to do. Visiting a store doesn’t mean you have to buy from them but it will allow you to appreciate everything the Velux has to offer.

Velux Online

This is where all the fun really happens. The Velux website is well laid out and easy to navigate. As soon as you arrive n the homepage you’ll see some of the latest innovations by Velux. Scroll down the page and you can use the daylight calculator which will help you to select the best window and window position for your project. There’s also a handy price configurator that allows you to find out exactly what your window will cost. Alongside this, there are links to connect you to local installers and the best places to buy Velux windows near you. Of course, you can simply place your order on the Velux website. At the top of the page are links to the various categories, allowing you to narrow down your search and find the right window. It’s surprisingly easy to use.

Delivery

If you order online the delivery will be included in the price of your window. In most cases, your order will be delivered to you within two working days unless you need a custom window.

Velux Brochures

Velux offers brochures that can be downloaded and printed or even posted to you. These brochures are specific to each type of window and give you all the necessary specs. You can see all the information onscreen but you may prefer to have it in your hand.

Discounts With Velux

Velux windows are considered the best in the industry. You won’t generally find discounts on their products unless a window has been made for a custom and sized incorrectly. However, you can still get an impressive reduction by using a discount code. You’re already on www.1offers.co.uk where you’ll find hundreds of discount codes for different retailers. Take a moment to look at the Velux codes available and take the one that saves you the most. You should note that codes can change quickly. That’s why we check them daily and recommend you take the code when you need it.
