Burton discount tips

The Burton Story

Burton is an old company. It was founded by Sir Montague Maurice Burton in 1903, almost 120 years ago Originally it was called the Cross-Tailoring Company and specialized in tailored suits. By 1929 it had expended steadily and has approximately 400 stores and factories across the UK. By the time Montague died in 1952, it was the largest multiple tailor in the world. At the end of the century, it became part of the Arcadia Group. The business has continued to do well although some of the stores have been closed in recent years. It’s worth noting that Arcadia Group went into administration in 2020 but Burton has survived and continues to trade.

The Burton Clothing Range

Burton is well-known and respected for its impressive line-up of suits and more formal clothing. However, the stores also stock an array of casual clothing fit for the discerning young gentleman. You’ll find hoodies, sportswear, jeans, joggers, and jackets mixed in with the well-cut suits. Burton also has a range dedicated to big and tall people, emphasizing that one size doesn’t fit all.

In-store With Burton

Burton has approximately 400 stores across the UK, there is likely to be one in your local town. Every store is neatly laid out and inviting. It’s normal to find the more casual clothing options at the front of the store and the suits toward the rear. You’ll also find that you can hire suits as well as purchasing them. The staff are on-hand to assist you, they’ll discuss styles, help you find the right size, and even check stock in other stores, if necessary. While is not quite the same as old-fashioned tailors, the service is professional and polite.

The Burton Website

The Burton website is easy to navigate. When you arrive on the home page you’ll be met by many of the latest offers and fashions. This can be enough to inspire your next order. If you’re after something more specific you’ll find the three horizontal bars in the top left of the screen useful. You’ll be directed to the menu, allowing you to choose your preferred category, such as clothing, shoes, or accessories. Move through the subcategories and you’ll quickly identify the products that interest you. Then, it’s as easy as adding them to your basket and either continuing your shop or heading to the checkout.

This gets your order to your door within 4 working days. Alternatively, you can pay a little and get your order the next day. It’s also possible to have it delivered to your Hermes parcel shop, this is also a next day option but considerably cheaper than the next day to home choice.
