DKNY discount tips

The DKNY Story

DKNY started out n New York and is still known as a New York City fashion house. It was founded in 1984 by Donna Karan. She had previously worked for Anne Klein as head designer for 15 years. When Klein’s parent company, Takihyo LLC, gave her the opportunity to start her own business she jumped at the chance. Together with her husband, she started DKNY – Donna Karan New York. The debut womenswear collection arrived in the fall of 1985. The aim was to create an entire wardrobe from just a few items of clothing. In fact, the official DKNY range started in 1989 as a clothing range aimed at younger people. Donna Karan was inspired by her daughter to create it.

The DKNY Stock Range

Today DKNY doesn’t just create fantastic womenswear choices. They also have an extensive menswear collection, bags, shoes, and even an array of fragrances. DKNY used to showcase their array of clothing in a standard fashion catalog, released in the fall and the spring. Today, they no longer offer this option but the entire stock range can be seen online. The range continues to be fashion-forward, promoting the latest fashions but with a practical approach. In essence, you can choose items from the DKNY range and wear them to multiple different events, while looking great.

DKNY In-store

There are approximately 70 Donna Karan and DKNY stores across the world. Just two of these are currently located in the UK. However, DKNY does sell through concessions, their products can be bought in House of Fraser and Harrods, amongst others. If you visit the genuine DKNY store you’ll be met by row after row of fantastic designs, all ready to wear and take home the same day. The staff in all their stores are friendly and professional, they’re eager to help you find the perfect item for any occasion.
