Foyles discount tips

The Foyles Story

In 1904 the Foyles brothers, William and Gilbert, started a business selling books. What was unique was they launched the business from their kitchen table, they were just 17 and 18-years-old at the time. Within a year their success led to them opening a store in Leicester Square, London, and in 1906 they gained a huge amount of attention as they sold books by weight instead of individual prices. Thanks to unusual selling options the business was successful, William’s daughter even joined the business and wrote a book on etiquette. The business was bombed during the war but survived and even flourished with a mail-order division. The business only started struggling in the 1980s as the double queuing system was complex. However, the great-nephews of the founders took over and reversed the company’s fortunes.

The Foyles Range

Despite its long history and various issues along the way, the business has stuck to its original values and still focuses on book sales. You’ll find every sort of book imaginable in the store. They have fiction, non-fiction, and an impressive array of older titles. Best of all, if they haven’t got it they will help you find it.

Where To Buy Foyles Books

The business moved into mail order in the mid 20th century and has remained in the field. This knowledge and experience helped them to create a website that anyone can use. But, they recognize that some people still prefer to shop in a physical store. As such, they have seven premises across the UK and are likely to add to this selection. You will find friendly and knowledgeable staff, ready to help you in every store. But, the best part is being able to look and touch the various books. There is nothing quite like the feel of a book in your hands! Of course, you also get to take them home with you the same day.

Foyles likes to mix things up and part of this is making sure there is always an offer of some sort available. These are often shown as a reduction on upcoming books. To ensure you get the best discount possible you’ll want to take a discount code. There are several sites offering codes but none are likely to be better than where you are right now. Here, on www.1offers.co.uk we have a vast selection of codes. All you have to do is memorize, write down, or electronically copy the relevant code to the box on the payment screen. Codes are checked daily as they expire at a moment’s notice. This is why you should use them as quickly as possible.
