Heal's discount tips

The Beginning Of Heals

Heals originally started trading in 1810. It was created by John Heal and his son who offered a feather dressing service. However, business was so well received that by 1818 they relocated to larger premises in Tottenham Court Road and started producing bedding and even furniture. During the Second World War, they changed focus and produce parachutes for the war effort. The business is known as one of the first to introduce electric lighting into their premises. They are also responsible for restoring the banquet table in Buckingham Palace in time for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing! Although the business remained family-owned and run for over 150 years, a combination of rapid expansion in the early 1980s and a recession led to financial issues and a management buyout in the late 1980s. Since then the company has changed hands again and now has showrooms across the UK.

What Heals Offers

Heals specializes in high-quality furniture at reasonable prices. They offer an extensive array of products, including sofas, beds, dining tables, coffee tables, storage solutions, and chairs. Alongside this, they offer garden furniture, an array of lighting for ceilings, floors, and desks, and a selection of home accessories. These include scented candles, room diffusers, vases, faux flowers, and even televisions! Heals works with a variety of top brands, ensuring you can access any product you need to create the perfect home setting.
