OMEGA discount tips

The Origins Of Omega

The beginnings of Omega can actually be traced to 1848 when Louis Brandt started assembling pocket watches. He used locally sourced parts and sold the watches across Europe, specifically to English customers. His sons made this possible as they created the in-house manufacturing system which allowed parts to be interchanged. This created a separate brand known of La Generale Watch Co, known as Omega. It was so successful that in 1903 the Omega Watch Co was officially founded. The founder’s grandson took up the reins in 1903 and drove the company forward. Despite the wars and the Great Depression, he supervised a merger with Tissot and the creation of the SSIH group. This gave them a strong backing that ensured the company continued to grow. A difficult period in the 1980s led to a takeover by private investors and then became one of the top watch producers in the world.

The Omega Collection

Today, Omega still specializes in watches, maintaining their dedication to ‘a time for everything’. They have focused on careful placement of advertisements to help boost the image of the company, ensuring they stay as the number one watchmaker in the world. This is, after all, the watch worn by 007. There are several ranges to look at, perhaps the most famous of which is the Seamaster. But, the Speedmaster, De Ville, and Constellation are all worth a look. Alongside this, the company has an extensive collection of men’s and women’s watches for you to consider. Every watch in the collection is well made and built to last, this is an investment for life, not just a watch. Alongside the impressive top-end watches they have a great selection of dress watches, ceramic ones, and even sports watches. There really is something for everyone.

Buying An Omega

If you are looking to buy an Omega watch then there are plenty of places to choose from. Omega itself sells its watches from the website. But, they also sell through an array of concessions. If you have a high-quality jewellery shop near you then you are likely to find a selection of Omega watches for sale. This is a great way to feel the quality and appreciate the way the watch looks. Even if you ultimately choose to buy online, it is worth heading not a store to appreciate the watches and speak with the knowledgeable staff.

Omega Online
