The year was 1969 when Alan Green got a $2,500 loan from his family and started producing wetsuits. At the same time, he launched his own brand of sheepskin boots for surfers. Sales were good and in 1973 he partnered with John Law and launched Quiksilver. The company gradually grew from these humble beginnings as they expanded their range to cover all things surfer-related.
