Sofa Workshop discount tips

The Sofa Workshop Story

Sofa Workshop started trading in 1985. The business was created by Andrew Cussins and its first store opened in Maidstone in 1986. The company makes handmade furniture and sells them directly to the public. All the furniture is made in Britain, a tradition the company intends to adhere to. The business was an overnight success, catering to people that wanted affordable but stylish and unique furniture. Cussins sold the business in 2002 to MFI Group who subsequently sold the business in 2006 to the New Haven Group who placed it into administration in 2008. Cussins actually helped the current management team buy the business before leaving them to it. It traded successfully and in 2012 DFS bought Sofa Workshop but it continues to operate as its own brand.

What Sofa Workshop Offers

The array of sofas on offer is impressive, from old-style pieces to modern and contemporary corner sofas. They also offer a selection of ‘motion furniture’, that’s items that move such as recliners, swivel chairs, and even sofa beds.
