Thompson & Morgan discount tips

The Thompson & Morgan Story

Thompson & Morgan originally started trading in 1855! At the time, William Thompson grew plants in a small garden behind a baker’s shop. Although young he was already passionate about plants, specifically rare and exotic ones. As more people became interested in the plants he was growing he moved to larger premises on the edge of Ipswich. Alongside this, he started to sell seeds and partnered with John Morgan to assist with this side of the business. By the time Thompson died in 1903 Thompson & Morgan was defined as one of the greatest seed firms in the country. The business stayed with John Morgan who took a new partner, Joseph Sangster. It stayed in this family until 1999 when the business was sold but continues to thrive.

The Thompson & Morgan Range

Today the company sells a lot more than seeds and rare plants. It has become one of the premier garden centers in the UK. You’ll find an extensive collection of indoor and outdoor plants for sale. They also sell fruit and vegetable plants and still have an impressive seed list. But, the business also offers tool sheds and everything else you could need for garden living. That includes fencing, garden buildings, outdoor chairs and tables, water features, patio heaters, and even wild bird food and accessories.
