Timberland discount tips

The Timberland Story

In 1952 Nathan Swartz invested in the Abington Shoe Company. Despite half owning the business he started as an apprentice and worked his way up, until he knew the trade inside and out. He then bought out his partner and moved the business to New Hampshire. The climate here was vastly different and Swartz set out to create a shoe that could handle all the extremes of weather that this part of the country could throw at it. In 1973 the Timberland was invented, a beautifully crafted boot that was capable of withstanding the elements and staying comfortable.

A new beginning

In fact, the Timberland boot made use of new technology; injection moulding. It set the standard across the industry for waterproof performance and became popular with hikers, workmen, and even as a fashion accessory. The boot was groundbreaking and the company was renamed to mark the occasion. Timberland has been trading ever since and has retained the reputation for being the best of the best.

The Timberland Range

Unsurprisingly, the success of Timberland boots opened plenty of other doors for the company. The Timberland boots have been revised and improved year after year. Alongside this, the selection of available boots has grown enormously. You’ll find suede boots, leather ones, and a variety of others. Whether you’re hiking, hitting the town, or heading off to work, there’s a pair of Timberlands waiting to help you. But, although Timberland specializes in boots, it also produces clothes, watches, sunglasses, and a variety of other accessories.
