World Of Books discount tips

The World Of Books Story

World Of Books started trading in 2000 just after the dot.com bubble started to burst. The founders, Simon Downes, Ben Maxfield, and Michael Laundon bought a collection of books at car auctions for almost nothing and then auctioned them on eBay. The books sold surprisingly well and the business was effectively born. However, it wasn’t until 2005 that they officially founded the company and started trading as World of Books. Their approach was simple, to purchase books wholesale by weight. They then use custom-designed software to assess the saleability of the titles they had bought and this set the selling price. Of course, instead of selling via eBay, the business created its own website and started selling. Needless to say, it was successful with an annual turnover in the region of £10 million!

What World Of Books Offers

One of the secrets to their success is in staying true to their original aim. Unlike many businesses that diversify and start offering a wide variety of products, World of Books continues to sell just books. However, and perhaps most importantly, World of Books sells secondhand titles. You’ll find antique books, classics, and a huge array of cheap books covering every genre you can imagine. In short, if you like reading, you want to see what World of Books has to offer.

The World Of Books Website

World of books doesn’t have a physical premise for you to browse. Along with increasing costs, it would be impractical to maintain a database of the books as they are constantly changing depending on what they have managed to purchase. What you will find is a well-laid-out website that starts you off with the current best-selling fiction books. As you move down the page you’ll find links to special categories, such as fantasy or romance. They also have categories based on facts, such as biographies and cooking. You’ll also find it worthwhile to look at why the company is a B Corp and why it loves being one. Alongside some great reviews, you’ll also find a book acre guide and a guide to wholesale rare books.

World Of Books Customer Support Team

The World of Books customer support team can be contacted via email but you may wish to try the ‘talk to Watson’ first. This is a help bot that can answer almost any question you ask. It’s fast and can be accessed at any time of the day or night!

Delivery Options

If you have placed an order then you’ll be wondering about delivery. Fortunately, the news is generally good. As World of Books only shows titles they are currently stocking they can be sent immediately. Choose the economy delivery and your order is sent free of charge but will take 23-5 working days. If you need it faster then you can use the priority delivery to get it to you within 1-3 working days. The charge for this varies depending on whether you have more or less than six books. International delivery is available but this is slower and will cost you more. Naturally, all orders are tacked, ensuring you know exactly where it is and when it will arrive. You certainly don’t want to miss your order being delivered.

World of Books Promotions & Discounts

World of Books doesn’t have a huge array of promotions on as they offer secondhand books at attractive prices. In short, they don’t need to reduce the prices further in order to find buyers. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t save money buying from World of Books! It is possible to check out the discount codes here on www.1offers.co.uk, that’s the site you are currently visiting. Choose a discount code, make a note of it, then input it when paying for your World of Books order. Codes can change without warning, although we check them as often as possible, it is a good idea to take it when you want to use it. This will help to avoid disappointment when you shop.

The World Of Books Newsletter

If you sign up for the World of Books newsletter you’ll be the first to get updates, exclusive offers, and find out about upcoming titles. It’s worth giving them your email address. But, you also need to connect with them on social media where you’ll get to chat with other customers and share your opinions and reviews. It is an excellent way to help you choose your next good read! As a bonus, you’ll also get to make some new friends and perhaps even organize book swaps!
