Bonmarché discount tips

Bonmarche Backstory

When you think about using a specific store it's always nice to know a little bit about the business. Bonmarché first started trading in 1982. A businessman, known as Parkash Singh Chima moved to the UK in 1950. At first, he sold clothing from door-to-door but in 1982 he purchased two clothing firms, Wiltex and Hartley. They traded in markets across northern England. Within 3 years he opened his first high street store, naming it Bonmarché. The business grew from this small acorn into a thriving concern with over 300 stores. After his retirement, his sons sold the chain to a private equity group. By 2019 the business was in trouble and was bought by the owner of Edinburgh Woollen Mill, it continues to trade under the Bonmarché name.

The Range

Bonmarché has made a name for itself by supplying fashionable women’s wear at affordable prices. It was one of the first chains to embrace plus size clothing and is well-respected for the range of garments on offer. Whether you’re looking for blouses, dresses, jeans, leggings, or even swimwear, you’ll find something fashionable and affordable at Bonmarché. You should note that the website is well organized and easy to use. But, if you still prefer using a paper-based catalog this is an option. You can request a catalog on the website and it will be sent to your home address. It’s approximately 200 pages long and allows you to sit at home and scroll through the pages to find the perfect clothing for any occasion.

Bonmarché Stores

At its peak, Bonmarché had over 300 stores. However, since it’s been taken over by Edinburgh Woollen Mill this has dropped to around 200. That still means you’ll be able to find one close to your home. Every store is well laid out and gives you access to the entire stock range. You’ll find the helpful staff on hand to help you locate the right item or the right size. They are happy to help. But, the most important part of visiting a physical store is that you’ll get to try things on. You can select items you wouldn’t normally look at and may be surprised by how good they look!

Bonmarché Online

The website is very easy to navigate. As soon as you arrive on the home page you’ll see the newest stock ranges coming in. If that wasn’t enticing enough you can click on the three horizontal bars in the top left of the screen and choose the range of clothing you’d like to look at. Select the subcategory and start browsing. That’s the beauty of shopping online, you can do it at any time of the day or night. Once you’ve chosen everything you want you can choose your preferred delivery schedule. Standard delivery is free when you spend over £30. This can take 3-5 days but there is a next day option if you prefer, although there will be a small charge. It’s also possible to click and collect in your local store. If you have any queries then the menu option on the screen will give you the ‘contact us’ link. You’ll be able to call the customer service team or email them to answer a query or even to order your items.

Getting a Bonmarché Discount

Bonmarché offers affordable and fashionable clothing. This doesn’t give them a lot of room to offer discounts, although they do have the occasional sale. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t save money while shopping with them. All you have to do is take a look at www.1offers.co.uk, you’re already on the page! Take a moment to check out the discount codes we have on offer, they are all verified daily to ensure they work when you need them to. Simply enter the code before you complete the purchase process and save yourself some money. However, you should take the code on the day you intend to use it, this will enable you to shop with confidence.

The Newsletter

In keeping with most businesses, you can sign up for the newsletter online and you’ll be kept in the loop. Simply give them your email address and you’ll receive a monthly bulletin directly to your inbox. You’ll get the latest news and offers as well as some exclusive discounts. Of course, getting the latest news is even quicker if you join Bonmarché on their social media feed. You can stay in touch with everything as it happens and talk to other customers. It’s a great way to share reviews and make sure you are always happy with your purchases.
