Triumph discount tips

A Little Triumph History

In 1884 Siegfried Bettmann started a company called S.Betteman & Co, it imported bicycles from Germany to the UK and sold them for a profit. Just two years later he changed the name and it became known as the Triumph Cycle Company. The same year he took on a partner and they started producing their own bicycles. By 1898 they had started making their own motorcycles. Prior to 1904, these were based on other people’s designs. The company supplied the Trusty Triumph motorcycle to the Allies during World War I. Over the next fifty years, Triumph produced many great cars and motorcycles. Sadly, the company became bankrupt in 1983. But, businessman John Bloor bought the name and manufacturing rights, keeping the business alive.

The Modern Triumph Range

Today, Triumph still produces an array of motorcycles, capable of competing with the best in the world. They have dedicated off-road bikes, touring motorcycles, sports bikes, and even an array of street bikes. In addition, Triumph has brought back several of the classic designs, built with modern parts and technology. These have proved to be a big hit across generations. Of course, the company also has an extensive clothing range and accessories, ensuring you look the part.
