Aldo discount tips

A Little Aldo History

Aldo started trading in 1972, nearly fifty years ago. The business was started by Aldo Bensadoun in Canada, hence the name. Also didn’t intend to go into the shoe business, his father was a shoe retailer and his grandfather was a cobbler. But, he still opened his first store as a concession in Le Chateau. It was a success and now the Aldo empire stretches across the world. Its first stand-alone store opened in 1987 and the business went international in 1995, quickly moving across Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Europe.

The Aldo Shoe Range

Aldo is dedicated to producing the finest quality shoes. Originally it specialized in women’s footwear. Today it provides an array of options for men and women. Alongside some great footwear, you’ll find handbags and an array of fashion accessories. The shoe range is all-encompassing, whether you want the latest ankle boots, some stylish trainers, or the perfect pair of heels, Aldo has something that will appeal. Aldo shoes are famous across the globe for their fashionable look and the quality of their build. This is a pair of shoes that will last the tests of time if you want them to.

Aldo Stores

There are over 3,000 Aldo stores across the globe. However, there are currently no standalone stores in the UK, the last four were closed in 2020. This was part of a global restructuring program to improve their future prospects. In fact, Aldo shoes are still available via concessions in Asos, Amazon, and several larger department stores. Of course, you can also purchase these fine shoes online, the online operations have been unaffected by the physical store closure. In fact, the restructuring could simply be connected to the changing marketplace and increase in online sales, making physical stores an unnecessary burden on businesses.
